I am a PhD candidate at the Naturalis Biodiversity Center in Leiden, Netherlands. I am working on using deep learning to identify rare and previously unheard animal sounds in the wild. My research is part of the doctoral network BioacousticAI, which aims to develop and apply new methods in computational bioacoustics to enhance biodiversity monitoring and species protection.
